Notice of Nominations For 2009 / 2010 Committee

Notice is hereby given that all positions are declared vacant and nominations are called for the positions of President, Vice President * 2, Secretary, Treasurer, committee * 6.

Positions are also opened for all coaching positions from 1st grade to U/10 and all in between. Your club need your support and loyality to continue to strive to be a powerful force in the gold coast region. Get behind your club and support or shape its direction. More helping hands makes for a more friendly club.

All applications must befrom a financial member, be in writing on the form attached, moved and seconded by a financial member of the club.

Application and proxy forms close at 5pm Tuesday 14th July 2009

At the age of 26 Sam Loxton OBE made his test debut against India in the 1947-1948 season as part of Don Bradman's legendary team 'The Invincibles'.

OFFICIAL CLUB OPENING

22nd November saw the official opening of the new club house, changing rooms and gym facility. Officially opened by Sam Loxton OBE and Councilor Sue Douglas, The new facility is one to which no other club can compare to and combined with the new lighting facilities, makes Surfers Paradise Cricket Club one of the best facilities of any club and we should all be proud to be a member.

THE FIRST EVER 20 / 20 GAME ON THE GOLD COAST

22nd November 2007 saw the first ever 20/20 game played. The match between Surfers Paradise and Palm Beach was played under lights at Sir Bruce Small Oval in front of a huge crowd. The night also raised a significant sum of money for 2 special schools, one supported by each club.
